| May 11, 2009 | Paul Guindon, CEO of Commissionaires Ottawa, Lead Sponsor and Organizer, said, “Given the overwhelming support we received from schools, communities, the media, and Red Friday Ladies Karen Boire and Lisa Miller, the Second Annual RUN FOR MILITARY FAMILIES has been taken to a whole new level. We are focused on the fact that individual donations increased by well over $8,000 since last year. This means women, men and children dug into their pockets and gave generously in seven different municipalities – all this despite the current economic climate and more conservative contributions from corporate sponsorships. In addition, compared to our inaugural run last year, we witnessed many hundreds more people who came out to cheer on our runners along the way.” Mediarelease |
