QUALITY TRAINING - The Commissionaires Ottawa training program is the most comprehensive of any other security company in our service territory.
- We have an excellent in-house training capability, with two full-time certified instructors and three part-time instructors, on-site classroom facilities, and state-of-the-art training aids.Training is a continuous year-round activity and is verified through workshops, written exercises and a rated final examination.
- Before commissionaires are even hired, they must successfully complete a six-day basic security course to the applicable CGSB standards, (including first aid training).
- Through the years, commissionaires receive refresher courses and some advanced training.
- Supervisors receive specialized training to the applicable CGSB standards, (e.g. Shift Leader’s Course, National Supervisors Course, Supervisors Seminar, and regular indoctrination briefings).
