Are you applying for Canadian citizenship or permanent residency (landed immigrant status)? If you are already in Canada and want to apply for Canadian citizenship or permanent residency status, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will require you to obtain a Certified Criminal Record Check from the RCMP. This criminal record check must include a photo and your fingerprints.

Commissionaires is accredited by the RCMP to take your photo, capture fingerprints and submit them directly to the Canadian Criminal Real Time Identification Services (CCRTIS) for processing. This reduces the RCMP processing time to as little as 72 hours (if no criminal record is present). Results can be sent to your home address or directly to a Government of Canada citizenship official.

All digital fingerprinting is supervised by knowledgeable security professionals who will answer questions and help guide the process in a confidential setting. It usually takes less than 10 minutes to process applicants.

We accept major credit cards, debit or cash at all of our locations. Applicants should bring two pieces of valid government issued identification, one of which must be a photo ID. View acceptable types of ID (read FAQ 3)

If applicable, please also bring a letter issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada requesting your fingerprints and any other documents that may assist the process.
