Federal Government Security Clearance
Are you a federal government contractor or federal government employee who needs fingerprints for a security clearance?
Come to one of our six convenient locations and we’ll help you meet these federal government security clearance requirements quickly and easily.
Commissionaires is accredited by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) to capture fingerprints and submit them directly to the Canadian Criminal Real Time Identification Services (CCRTIS) for processing. This reduces the RCMP processing time to as little as 72 hours (if no criminal record is present).
All digital fingerprinting is supervised by knowledgeable security professionals who will answer questions and help guide the process in a confidential setting. It usually takes less than 10 minutes to process applicants.
We accept major credit cards, debit or cash at all of our locations. Applicants should bring two pieces of valid government-issued identification, one of which must be a photo ID. View acceptable types of ID (read FAQ 3)

Are you a Company Security Officer (CSO) or hiring manager?
By setting up an account with Commissionaires, you’ll receive an email confirmation every time we process a Contract Security Program applicant’s fingerprints.
Each confirmation email will include helpful information required for efficient and accurate input of personnel data to the Contract Security Program’s online industrial security services portal (OLISS).

Controlled Goods Program
Are you or your organization registering for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP)? Have you appointed (or are you) a Designated Authority?
According to federal law, members of the public service or contractors who examine, possess or transfer controlled goods—i.e. technologies, components and technical data used for national security or military purposes—must register for the Government of Canada’s Controlled Goods Program.
To be compliant, a Designated Authority must be appointed to conduct security assessments. Before registering, the Designated Authority must obtain fingerprints and submit the results along with their application.
